Restaurant Realty Company is a Northern California
Restaurant Brokerage which was started in 1996 by Steven
D. Zimmerman who is the Owner, Broker and President of the Company. The company
specializes in sales, acquisitions and leasing of restaurants, bars and clubs.
The company does appraisal valuations on the latter mentioned businesses and
does expert witness work for a number of legal firms. The company also works
with financial institutions, hospitality industry consultants and the United
States Federal Bankruptcy Court on various related projects. Restaurant Realty
Company has grown to be the largest Restaurant Business Brokerage, listing and
selling more restaurant related businesses than any other brokerage office
in the state over the last decade.

Steven has personally sold
over 750 restaurant, bar/or club businesses since 1996 and completed over
2,000 valuations. (see the section
titled Restaurants Sold). His real estate experience also includes sales,
acquisitions, management, and ownership of numerous properties throughout California
including restaurants, hotels, apartment buildings and single family homes.
Prior to starting
Restaurant Realty Steven had over 20 years of restaurant experience and was
President and Chief Executive Officer of Zim's Restaurants, which was one of
the largest privately owned restaurant chains in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Steven is a graduate of the
University of San Francisco's School of Business Administration and Cornell
University's School of Hotel Administration. He holds a California State
Real Estate Brokers License (Lic. ID #01310250), State of California College Teaching
Certificate, and he has earned the industry's top designations for advanced
education which include: the Certified Business Broker (CBB) designation
awarded by the California Association of Business Brokers and the Certified
Business Intermediary (CBI) designation awarded by the International
Business Brokers Association.
Steven has taught management courses at San Francisco City College Hotel and
Restaurant School and the former School for Hotel, Restaurant and
Institutional Management at Golden Gate University. Steven has been a
regular guest lecturer at the California Culinary Academy (CCA) in San
Francisco for several years. He is a member of the Golden Gate Restaurant
Association, Cornell University's Hotel Society, Cornell University's Real
Estate Council, California Association of Business Brokers (CABB), and the
International Business Brokers Association (IBBA).
As a result of Steven's many years of experience and expertise, he has
written his first book entitled
Restaurant Dealmaker - An Insider's Trade Secrets for Buying a Restaurant,
Bar or Club which will be available for purchase in the near future.

Judy has been with Restaurant
Realty Company since 1999. Her responsibilities include overseeing marketing and advertising activities, such as phone book ads, flyer creation and
distribution, handling special targeted marketing campaigns, and
coordinating other special marketing projects and campaigns.
Prior to joining Restaurant Realty Company Judy owned
her own company, Bay Marketing, which was a manufacturers representative for
various women's sportswear lines and she worked at Macy's of California as a
Sales Manager and Buyer. Judy attended Cornell University for two years
prior to moving to California where she graduated from the University of San
Francisco in Business Administration. Judy holds a California State Real Estate
License (Lic. ID #01317025).
Jacob Zimmerman,

Jacob has been working with Restaurant Realty
Company since 1998 when he implemented the company's Internet and information technology strategy. Jacob is
now involved in all company related strategy and is responsible for
financial planning, valuation analysis, and general management of technology
including web development, intranet systems, customer relationship
management, marketing, and
asset management of systems.
Jacob is a graduate of Cornell University,
School of Hotel Administration
where he received a Bachelor of Science in Management with
a concentration in Real Estate Development. Jacob is also the Founder of
Restaurants For Sale
Online which is the leading national website for restaurants for sale. Jacob
previously worked for HVS where he has conducted commercial real estate
valuations, market studies, expert-testimony preparation and feasibility reports
with close to $2 billion of hospitality real estate assets.
Bruce Osterlye,
Listing Specialist

Bruce's
responsibilities include contacting potential restaurant, bar and
nightclub sellers and setting up appointments with them to discuss the
services our company provides to obtain listings for the sale of their
business. Bruce also works with buyers and sellers in putting together
the transaction. Bruce also works closely with Steve Zimmerman to determine the
valuation of the business.
Prior to joining
Restaurant Realty, Bruce, a native of San Francisco, attended the San
Francisco City College Hotel and Restaurant Program, worked in a number
of Bay Area French restaurants, and has hotel and restaurant experience
working in Switzerland. This was followed by twelve years at Kenwood
Vineyards and Winery as Warehouse and Bottling Line Manager, Restaurant
Wine Sales and Events Catering. Since 1989, Bruce has been a successful
restaurant owner and operator. Bruce holds a California State Real
Estate License (Lic. ID #01840610).
Nancy Barton,
Buyer Coordinator

Nancy's responsibilities include: 1)
screening buyers which includes discussing with prospective buyers
their backgrounds to determine whether they are qualified to have
access to any of our listings, 2) setting up showing appointment
between buyers and sellers, and 3) being involved with various
administrative functions of the office.
Prior to joining Restaurant Realty
Company Nancy has been a real estate salesperson for Lake Tahoe
Distinctive Properties and Chase International at Incline Village,
Nevada and at Frank Howard Allen in San Rafael. Prior to this she
was Marketing Manager at Kaiser Permanente, a Senior Business
Analyst at American Express and a Sergeant, F-15 Fighter Crew Chief
in the U.S. Air Force. She holds an Associate of Arts degree, a
Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration, a Masters of
Business Administration degree and Nevada and California State Real
Estate Licenses (Lic. ID#

Thomas Barton,
Internet Marketing Coordinator
Thomas's responsibilities
include managing the in-house marketing manager which facilitates the
management of Restaurant Realty's listings on the leading business for
sale, restaurant for sale and commercial real estate websites. All new
listing information flows through Thomas and is updated on these sites.
Sally Packman, Mailing
Coordinator:
Sally has been with
Restaurant Realty Company since 2000. She packages tens of thousands of
mailings yearly (each mailing includes our current listing sheets, Restaurant Rap
and brochure on the services we provide) which are sent to all
restaurant, bar and club owners in the 8 primary bay area counties we
service. Sally also handles our special targeted mailing campaigns which
are special mailings sent to specialized businesses such as brewpubs,
bars & clubs, and catering companies, etc.
Prior to joining Restaurant
Realty Company Sally earned a degree in education from San Francisco State
University and taught school and then managed a gift shop for several years.
