Bruce MacDiarmid is a highly experienced executive with multiple successful leadership roles as CEO, COO, and Board Chairman. He currently provides strategic advisory services to franchise organizations, independent operators and chain organizations in multiple segments of the restaurant industry.

His interest in Real Estate developed early on when he earned a California Real Estate Salesman License while working as a General Manager for Continental Restaurant Systems in Ventura, Thousand Oaks and later San Diego.

Most recently, Bruce was CEO, President and Chairman of the $170 million privately held regional family casual dining restaurant group, Shari’s Café & Pie, with over 100 locations throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Bruce also served as President and COO for Black Angus Steakhouses, a $220 million premier regional steakhouse chain with 82 restaurants across the Western region.

In addition, Bruce served as Chief Marketing Officer for Chevys Fresh Mex(R) through the period of the company’s exponential growth. The Bay Area founded restaurant group became nationally recognized as the segment’s premier Mexican restaurant brand.

Bruce currently serves Northern California as a Restaurant Realty Company Listing Transaction Agent. He knows first-hand the joys and challenges created within the restaurant industry. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Marketing Concentration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and has attended the Graduate School of Business at San Diego State University.
