Meet our latest RESTAURATEUR OF THE QUARTER
John Radovich of Bartenders Unlimited
and New Owner of Trevor’s Pub

John Radovich is our Restauranteur of the Quarter and in this challenging time that says a lot about him. A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, John had an interesting start to his 42-year career in the hospitality and bar business. In his early years while working at a liquor store in San Francisco he met the owner of Bon Appétit Catering who instantly took a liking to him. Once he learned of John’s bartending experience, he offered him a job.
Upon tending bar at his first catering event John’s out of box thinking propelled him to see ways that he could improve upon the experience . He had a vision of how he could lead the way and provide outstanding service in this niche sector of the catering industry.

In October of 1979, John opened Bartenders Unlimited which specializes in Beverage Catering, Event Coordinator & Venue Management. Under John’s strong leadership Bartenders Unlimited continues to offer its clients flexible and innovative services with an eagerness to customize a menu and motif to facilitate the clientele’s individual preferences.
While running Bartenders Unlimited John also wanted to own a bar. So when he found out that the owners of Positively Fourth Street Saloon in San Rafael, where he had previously worked, were ready to sell, he purchased it from them. John remodeled and rebranded the location to it’s current incarnation The Tavern on Fourth, Marin’s first craft cocktail bar. John has come up with ways to continue to operate in 2021.
John’s latest venture in 2020/21 is the purchase of Trevor’s Pub, a well-established local bar just around the corner from The Tavern on Fourth in San Rafael. John has a vision for Trevor’s knowing that it needs a lot of TLC, but as he see’s it, Trevor’s has fantastic bones. There will be a craft element to the Bar, a broad selection of beverages and cocktails, as well as a food menu. John anticipates opening the rebranded Trevor’s sometime in Summer/Fall 2021 or when permitted by local officials due to Covid. Two pool tables from the original Trevor’s will remain, the rest is Top Secret. Stay Tuned!
