The Restaurant at the Dry Creek Inn
Healdsburg / Sonoma County

Andy Mirabell of Restaurant Realty Company is proud to announce the lease of The Restaurant at the Dry Creek Inn – Healdsburg in Sonoma County.

In 2023, the owners of the Best Western Dry Creek Inn reached out to Restaurant Realty company and agent, Andy Mirabell, about the possibility of leasing their restaurant space. Andy Mirabell has successfully listed, leased, and sold restaurants in Sonoma County over the past few years.

The hotel and restaurant are in the city of Healdsburg. Healdsburg is an upscale and quaint town in Sonoma County.  Located in the heart of Wine Country Healdsburg is a large tourist draw for wine enthusiasts and travelers passing through to the coast or headed up to other Northern California destinations.

The Dry Creek Inn is owned by the Krug family. The father and son team that own and operate this hotel found out in late 2023 that their long-standing tenant will be closing his doors to the public. Adel’s Restaurant had successfully operated in this space for over three decades. Adel’s Restaurant was a casual American eatery that appealed to tourists, locals, and the working class of the area, many of which work for the local wineries and want a hearty early morning breakfast. Sadly, Adel‘s Restaurant fell victim too many of the same challenges that still plagues Bay Area and California restaurants since the onset of the Pandemic. Higher cost of goods and labor shortages were the main reasons the establishment decided to close.

Listing agent, Andy Mirabell was hopeful he could locate a quality concept and operator to open up within this space and thrive as long as the previous concept did. Andy located Osama “Steve” Attalah. Steve is an endearing man who is very friendly and often smiling. He is the owner of Peppers Restaurant in Fortuna and also Café Bellini in Garberville.  Steve was familiar with Adel’s and worked there many years ago with his extended family who were previously the owners. Steve and Andy worked diligently with the Landlord’s to come up with reasonable and current lease terms to help set Steve up for success within this space. Steve will bring his Peppers concept to Healdsburg and reinvent the restaurant space at the dry Creek Inn. He plans to modernize an upgrade the space and open it for extended hours, serving early breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch. Additionally, Peppers will as serve the hotel guests within an appealing in-room breakfast offering. Peppers is scheduled to open before Summer in 2024 and the locals are excited to have life coming back to this great space.
