Their philosophy is believing in real food that is hand-made with love, grown locally & organically, and shared with their community of family and friends. Keep it simple, use the best quality ingredients and every ingredient on their menu has a story, from the Italian milled 00 flour and San Marzano tomatoes to the local Ramini Bufala mozzarella. They personally source every ingredient for the best quality, taste, freshness, while always trying to support their local economy first. Almost everything is made in house, right down to their mozzarella, and they are proud that each pizza is hand stretched, unique, and one-of-a-kind. Creativity and local, fresh ingredients is the driving force that inspires their combinations, and keeps them having fun with every new dish placed on their menu.
Steve Zimmerman sold this business in January and had the pleasure of working with two very professional restaurateurs. Louise Franz, the Seller, created Pizzalina in 2011 and prior to starting this business she had extensive restaurant experience working for several well known restaurants as well as having a strong background in designing home furnishings. Michael Baker, the Buyer and current Pizzalina Owner, has an incredible restaurant background being the former Corporate Executive Chef of Chalet Restaurant Group responsible for 5 high volume SF Bay Area restaurants and the former Executive Chef of Piatti Restaurant in Danville. I am confident that with Michaels strong culinary background he will only strengthen Pizzalina’s excellent reputation.
