Chef Sarah Beaudreau purchased this 1,500 sq ft restaurant and real estate in 2007. Located on the main thoroughfare, Hwy 4, in Arnold, California, Sarafina Restaurant is a charming building set on 0.5 acres with off street parking.

Owning the real estate is the ‘Golden Ticket’ when owning a restaurant; no landlord, no increase in rent and no conditions or restraints on your business operation. This was a key ingredient to Chef Sarah’s success!

Nestled in the beautiful rural area of Arnold, Calaveras County, Sarafina prospered in the beautiful Sierra foothills near many award-winning wineries and the neighboring towns of Murphy’s, Angels Camp, Sonora & Jamestown.

The main dining room hosts 40 seats with a real wood-burning fireplace. The bar area seats a further 20. In 2018, Sarah completed a patio extension renovation by adding a two–sided outdoor patio seating another 40.

Business grew from strength to strength until 2020 when the pandemic decimated many quality restaurants. Sarah was lucky as business revenues only dropped 10% due to her prior patio investment.

But after two recessions and a pandemic, Sarah decided it was time to hang up her Apron and list for sale.

Local restaurateurs from the nearby town of Murphys (and a past Sous Chef at Sarafina’s) Gabby Sanchez Peralta with her husband Tomas purchased the business and real estate, closing escrow on April 24, 2022.

Restaurant Realty Agent, Keith Simpson joined forces with local agent, Jamie Yarnell Porras of Cedar Creek Realty to find the right buyer willing to take the plunge post pandemic. Jamie and Keith have worked together on numerous restaurant business and real estate transactions over the years and are currently in escrow together on the sale of Snowshoe Brewing Company also in Arnold.
