JUST SOLD
SEA CASA
Westlake Village / Los Angeles County

Restaurant Realty sold Sea Casa, an amazing Latin American Restaurant in the heart of Westlake Village, located at 1014 S Westlake Blvd, in October 2022! Keith Simpson represented both the seller and buyer.

Herbert and Lisa Boks built and had operated Sea Casa Restaurant located in Westlake Village, Ventura County LA since 1993. This Latin American Restaurant is a small 800 sq ft restaurant serving 350 guests daily with its 25 seats indoors and a further 60 on their large patio. This QSR restaurant is all about fresh, healthy Mexican food, No Microwaves, No Lard, No MSG, No Freezers and No Can Openers. They receive all their Produce, Meats, and Groceries fresh, 7 days a week from local vendors. Using fresh produce, natural chicken breast, hand trimmed steak, and salsas that are made fresh all day long.

After nearly 30 years it was time to retire and they contacted Restaurant Realty Co and agent Keith Simpson in late 2021 to value the business and search for a suitable hard-working Buyer to hopefully replace them. Many interested parties were interviewed but Herbert and Lisa needed to find that perfect Buyer and were not in a hurry to sell, they just needed the right fit.

In June 2022, Brian Scalfaro, an established local Executive Chef, CCA in San Francisco trained and with 21 years’ Chef experience having also worked in Italy made inquiries as Brian now wanted to own his establishment. His brother, Frank owns 6 large restaurants in Florida employing some 500 people and was a mind of helpful information to his younger brother throughout the purchase process and assisted in negotiating lease terms with the landlord.

With SBA finance in place, escrow closed in mid-October with Brian inheriting 3 managers and 20 employees in total. Business is booming with all the employees remaining and maintaining the quality and freshness of the food and the Boks reputation.

Brian wished to expand into more Catering to the local area as well as try new dishes he believes his loyal customers will enjoy. RRC wishes Herbert and Lisa much happiness in their well deserved retirement and wishes Brian continued success in his new business.
