Speisekammer Restaurant & Bar
+ Real Estate, Alameda

Steve Zimmerman, RRC’s principal broker has recently sold the Speisekammer Restaurant and Bar including the real estate in Alameda.

A Triple Play

Steve has had the opportunity of working with the sellers, Peter and Cindy Kahl, in completing three transactions with them over the past twenty-two years.

The first transaction was the famous Café Du Nord in San Francisco that Steve sold for Cindy in 2003. The second transaction was in selling the business and the property at the subject property in Alameda which was called Le Bouc which was a well know French restaurant and bar for over 30 years which Steve sold to them over 22 years ago. The third transaction is selling Speisekammer including the real estate to a partnership including three very experienced restaurateurs – Brad Kim and Anthony and Christal Fuller.

The sellers have been in the food and beverage business for decades. Cindy stared her career as a food server when she was 18 and then started bartending in early twenties. She ran Café Du Nord night club in San Francisco for many years. Peter attended hotel school in Germany and worked in hotels, was a chef in Berlin and a partner in Suppenkuche restaurant in San Francisco.

The buyers have had extensive food service experience and currently own 2 restaurants between themselves. All three of the buyers are currently partners in I Love Teriyaki & Sushi in Concord. Brad currently owns Harumi Sushi in Cupertino and Anthony and Christal formerly managed Nama Sushi in the SF Bay Area. The buyers plan to continue running the restaurant as Speisekammer which features authentic German food.

We wish Peter and Cindy much enjoyment for their well-deserved retirement and wish Brad, Anthony and Christal continued success in their restaurant career.
